Valentines Day

The hype around Valentine's Day is ridiculous. You try and go to CVS or Walgreens for a quick errand and you are bombarded with red and pink hearts, candies and flowers everywhere. As well as some extremely cheesy cards that sing "When A Man Loves A Woman" by Michael Bolton even though most of the "men" giving those cards don't even know the meaning of what they are saying. 

Even though all of that is true..Valentine's Day is still one of the best holidays out there. It's a day where you can be a complete fool in love and be mushy gushy all day and nobody can be annoyed with you because it's Valentine's Day and everyone is doing the same thing. 

This Valentine's Day didn't work out the way I had planned..but I am not going to let that deter me from spreading love to the people around me. So far today I have said "Happy Valentine's Day!" to everyone I have encountered because even if they don't have a valentine someone out there loves them. Whether it be their parents, best friend or even their beloved pet, someone out there thinks they are the best person in the world. 

No matter how commercial this day is or how badly it has gone, this day is still one of the best days out of the year.
