Detroit City

Many people that know me, know that Detroit is a huge part of my life.
It doesn't make much sense, and it doesn't need to, but this city is a part of me. From being born in Nebraska and counting down the days till I could move to the East Coast for college, makes it seem like Michigan, and Detroit, took the back burner for good.
But with the large amount of people fleeing from this amazing city in hopes of a better economic life, has lead me back to it's amazingness.
I am currently working on moving to this amazing industrial city that started over 300 years ago.

This post is prompted by the great literal magazine given out every Sunday as one of the last physical publications, The New York Times Magazine.
The cover of this weeks issue is the beautiful downtown Detroit from the eyes of the Quicken Loans building.
This article talks about how the great city is seen through rose-colored glasses by the head of Quicken Loans, which is a very large contributor to how the old architectural marvels of downtown Detroit are able to stay intact and not vacant.

Anyways...it's my city no matter if I have never lived in it or not..
Just counting down the days till I actually do call it home.
